FOR-A Announces Name Change to HVS Switcher Series

Cypress, CA – FOR-A announces a name change to three products within its HANABI Series of video switchers, effective today. The company’s formally named HVS-XT100, HVS-XT110, and HVS-XT2000 switchers will now be called the HVS-100, HVS-110 and HVS-2000. After starting his career in news and documentaries, the Boston-based shooter now concentrates on corporate, commercial and narrative films. One of his latest productions, Brothers on the Trail, took him to the Wyoming wilderness. The four-day shoot in early October was based around Register Cliff in Wyoming, a key navigational landmark during the 1800s for emigrants heading west that is now on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. KBZK and KXLF Replace Microwave Truck with JVC GY-HM650 ProHD Mobile News Cameras

WAYNE, NJ – JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, today announced KBZK and KXLF, the CBS affiliates serving Montana’s Butte-Bozeman market (DMA #188), are using four JVC GY-HM650 ProHD mobile news cameras for ENG live shots on their nightly newscasts. Engineer Michael Regan said the JVC cameras have essentially replaced the station’s microwave truck for live shots, because they are more versatile and cost effective.
